BIPV certification is split between performance, electrical safety, and building product compliance. The two regulatory blocs treat overlap differently.
United States
UL 7103 governs BIPV-specific roof and facade integration. It layers on UL 1703 module safety and IBC structural requirements. AHJ acceptance varies sharply by jurisdiction.
European Union
EN 50583 (parts 1 and 2) covers module and system level. CPR mandates CE marking on facade products, and fire reaction class is the gate for tall buildings.
